NASA launches virtual reality application to capture images in space

Virtual reality application also provides information on these stunning images. There are currently 30 stunning images to choose from, all taken from the Spitzer telescope. More images will be added from the agency’s flight and other humanities missions in the future, available for Android and iOS users.

Exoplanet Excursion is a virtual reality application that takes the user into a virtual guided tour of the TRAPPIST-1, the only external planetary system known to host nearly 7 Earth-sized planets.

The virtual reality application is expected to be available to Oculus and Vive users through the official Spitzer site, and will also be available soon through the Oculus store.
