Facebook is waiting for new sanctions from the European Union

Facebook is subject to sanctions for non-compliance with EU rules, according to a recent report that has already asked the company to change its terms of service to comply with recently updated EU standards, but has not yet done so.

In February, changed its terms of service, but for EU officials it was not enough, the European Commission said in a press release at the time, although Google’s proposals appeared to be compatible With requests, Facebook and Twitter only addressed important issues of their own responsibility and how to tell users to remove content.

According to Reuters, Facebook’s non-compliance contrasts with what Airbnb, which recently changed its terms of service after being asked to do so in July, has made it liable to multiple sanctions from the European Union.
